Acharya Nagarjuna University

Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Guntur is one of the prestigious universities founded in Andhra Pradesh. It was Inaugurated in the year 1976 by the former President of India. Sri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed . The University offers numerous UG, PG, and Diploma programmes in various fields of Arts, Commerce, Management, Science etc. This University has grown into a large University with 39 academic departments, including several self-financed courses. Being a teacher I know it from the core of my heart that proper and true education can make a stagnant society dynamics, both socially and economically. However, my first and foremost Endeavour in setting up this dream project of mine is to make our stagnant society dynamic and provide quality education through proper and scientific method. It is my belief that true light of education can dispel the darkness of ignorance. In order to illuminate the inner soul of my students I have followed the dictates propounded by Rabindranath Tagore who depicted in a number of his creative writings that nature can be a teacher to mankind. However, I have set up the college in the midst of nature where students can hear the clamor of birds, where the serene and blessed mood of nature can rejuvenate the bogged down spirit of man.

Moreover, the success of an educational institution depends mostly on the teachers appointed to impart lessons. And it’s a pleasure of mine to announce that the teachers appointed in my college are versatile genius in their own field.
